Place the XLR8 over the area of involvement (AOI).
Refer to below to choose any range within Beta Waves based upon history, patient presents, your clinical skill level.
Beta Waves are known as high frequency, low amplitude brain waves that are commonly observed with ordinary waking consciousness. They are involved in conscious thought, logical thinking, and tend to have a stimulating effect. Having the right amount of beta waves allows us to focus on and complete school or work-based tasks easily. You want to be able to turn proper brain waves on and turn them off. Having too much beta may lead to us experiencing excessive stress and anxiety. The higher beta frequencies are associated with high levels of arousal. When you drink caffeine or have another stimulant, your beta activity will naturally increase. Think of these as being very fast brain waves that most people exhibit throughout the day to complete conscious tasks such as critical thinking, writing, reading, and socialization.
Frequency range:
- Total Beta Wave Range 12 Hz - 40 Hz
- High Beta Waves 19 Hz - 40 Hz
- Middle Beta Waves 15 Hz - 20 Hz
- Low Beta Waves 12 Hz - 15 Hz
Do not underestimate the value of a Level 1 Brain Correction (1 minute each lobe) using the standard frequencies (upregulation / general neuromusculoskeletal) of 9, 16, 42, 53 used consistently with a program of multiple visits of Erchonia Laser for short duration daily or as often during the week as possible. The basics help the most amount of people.
Remember the association between the gut / brain connection
Correct the Omega 3/ Omega 6 ratio in the body. Perform the lab test necessary to score AND CORRECT Arachidonic acid (AA): Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). This is below a 4 (AA) :1 (EPA) ratio.
NOTE: the body has so many physiological functions going on at once and the body loves rhythms! Cross crawl, brain waves, digestion, hormones, immune system.
Too much Beta Wave: Adrenaline, anxiety, worry, high arousal, short temper, inability to relax, poor sleep, overstressed. The person who constantly talks, even when it is just blah blah, and no one is talking back or listening. this person has waaaaay too much beta waves. Entire careers can have too high of Beta Waves; high-level corporate America or police in violent neighborhoods, stay at home moms.
Too little: ADHD, daydreaming, depression, poor cognition
Optimal: Conscious focus, memory, problem solving.
