The PerformancePractor® Program
The PerformancePractor® Program is an educational system for the clinician who wants to achieve the level of clinical competency and display of skill similar to a black belt in the martial arts. It is achievable to anyone who has dedicated themselves to the healing arts and the helping of others in a multidimensional skill set. The PerformancePractor® Program clinician has far surpassed the academic understanding of the classroom and the hands-on application of mere symptomatic relief. This is true when applying to the general public or the athlete. A PerformancePractor® is not an athletic trainer and must be competent beyond the athletic training scope of modalities and symptomatic management of techniques common of sports medicine (such as taping, rehabilitation, and ice). Advanced proficiency of adjustments; manual and instrument, (spinal, extremity, cranial, soft tissue and neurological), Active Examination™ skills, radiology, Body Mapping, functional lab testing, Active Evaluation™ skills, sports performance technique and program design will all be required. All standards recognized by functional medicine values and rules of physical testing of strength and fitness arts will be recognized upon testing.
The PerformancePractor® title is a practitioner who has displayed multi-dimensional skills and a high level of competency of Fitness Integration Technique (F.I.T.)® and all intricate components; evaluation and corrective treatment. This is determined by examination and correction of single visits (to clearly identify the priority of need(s) as well as creating programs of care that create significant improvement for the client being measured (beyond symptomatic benefit). Case study of care includes the general public who has been diagnosed with a disease or pathology that is measured by radiology, variety of lab testing, a history of displayed decreased quality of life and other various methods of evaluation specific to the qualifying clinician and complete findings displayed properly in 3D Body Map® format. Findings should be clear to all parties (clinician performing procedures, patient and monitoring clinician). The treatment prescribed and obvious changes measured during a single visit as well as human metrics of normal physical capacity achieved after a program design and followed by the patient being treated. Standard human metrics of functional medicine lab values, body composition, and strength and flexibility markers such as (but not limited to) grip, gait velocity, flexibility, standard human metrics in ortho neuro texts as well as clinical exercise standards are used as measurement outcome achievement.
For the athletic competition exam portion. The clinician performing the PerformancePractor® program of measurable performance outcomes the above categories of measurements and application of the material learned in Fitness Integration Technique (F.I.T.)® are to be followed. The multi-dimensional skills and information provided are to be applied for a novice or a competitive athlete. The ability to perform all Active Evaluation™ procedures, create a 3D Body Map®, measure human metrics of physical capacity and the individual must compete in a sanctioned sport (track and field, powerlifting, Olympic Lifting, kettlebells, CrossFit, gymnastics, etc.) All rules of the recognized federation will be met. The practitioner being tested must have their client complete the competitive event (injury free), the client cannot get the last place and must display clear performance improvement from the initial exam (or previous scores achieved in the same sport) in 80% of all categories. The health indicators and the performance indicators must improve upon re-examination.
